The Schwartz Center Launches Video Interview Series: Videos Tell Patients' Stories of Compassionate Care
The Kenneth B. Schwartz Center, in partnership with Phillips, Dipisa & Associates, has launched a unique video series that celebrates compassionate healthcare.
The Center, whose mission is to support and advance compassionate healthcare, will be showcasing a series of short video interviews featuring patients telling the story of their relationships with their caregivers. Phillips DiPisa, healthcare executive recruitment firm, has completed the pilot video for the series. The piece features an interview with Diamond Tincher, a young cancer patient from Haverhill, Massachusetts, and her nurse, Katie Peuser, from Tufts Medical Center. Diamond has battled leukemia since she was two years old. In the video, she movingly describes how her special relationship with Katie enabled her to endure some very trying periods. The videos bring to life the stories of patients whose lives have been touched by caregivers who embody the Center’s idea of compassionate care.
Phillips DiPisa, a retained executive search firm serving healthcare providers, managed care organizations, and life sciences firms, is producing, directing and funding these video interviews.
“We’re delighted with Phillips DiPisa’s initiative and leadership on this exciting project,” said Julie Rosen, Executive Director of the Kenneth B. Schwartz Center. “Web-based video has become a powerful communications medium. It offers an outstanding opportunity for us to communicate how critical a strong patient-caregiver relationship is to the entire healthcare experience.”
The Schwartz Center and Phillips DiPisa share the goal of producing several videos a year and publishing them on the Schwartz Center website, as well as other online channels.
