Schwartz Center Grants

The 2013 grant round is now closed.  Please check back in the fall for information on our 2014 grant program.

Schwartz Center Grants are funded by the unrestricted contributions of individuals, corporations and foundations. Since 1997, the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare has awarded more than $2 million to fund innovative programs that advance our mission across the country.

Our past grants have supported a wide range of innovative programs to improve the patient-caregiver relationship, especially in the areas of communication skills, cultural competency, spirituality and end-of-life care. In recent years we funded several innovative projects that engaged patients and family members to educate providers about the patient experience. This short video highlights some of those projects.

For 2013, the Schwartz Center is requesting proposals that focus on enhancing compassionate healthcare within the Patient Centered Medical Home.
