The Dr. Beth Lown Innovation Fund
Compassion doesn’t become embedded in care without investment, innovation, and intention. The Dr. Beth Lown Innovation Fund fuels all three. It expands our signature Schwartz Rounds® program into new settings across the healthcare continuum and accelerates the creation and evaluation of tools designed for the evolving needs of patients and care teams. All of it in service of one vision: healthcare defined by compassion, across the United States and around the world.
Investments will drive the development, piloting, and evaluation of bold new initiatives across the six domains of our Schwartz Compassionate Care Model, a globally recognized framework for advancing compassionate care within healthcare organizations. Built on Dr. Lown’s decades of research and thought leadership alongside experts in patient experience, caregiver well-being, and compassion, this framework is the foundation of the Schwartz Center’s philosophy, strategy, and future programming.
The Fund is primarily focused on:
By supporting the Dr. Beth Lown Innovation Fund, donors and foundations invest alongside the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare in developing and evaluating creative solutions with real, lasting impact.
