What We Do

The Schwartz Center provides education, training and support to our community of hundreds of healthcare members in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand, supporting hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals each year. In partnership with the Point of Care Foundation, more than 280 hospitals, hospices and other healthcare organizations conduct the innovative Schwartz Rounds® program in the U.K. and Ireland. The program unites caregivers from a range of disciplines to share experiences, learn from each other and focus on the human dimension of medicine.

Educating, Training and Supporting Caregivers

We offer programs that focus on skill and knowledge-building to integrate collaborative, compassionate care into practice.

Building a Compassionate Care Community

We bring together caregivers, patients, policymakers, educators and researchers with the goal to ensure that compassionate care is a national healthcare priority and is a fundamental element in the design of health systems, the provision of care, the measurement of outcomes and medical education.

Honoring and Recognizing Compassionate Leadership

We know that leading by example is the most effective way to inspire others to make compassionate care a priority. We host a growing number of national recognition programs that highlight the best of what compassionate care can be.
