Monica Smith RN, BSN, BBA is currently dually employed as an outcomes coordinator for the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease as well as a pediatric ICU nurse at Dell Children’s Ascension in Austin, Texas. During her tenure as an ICU nurse she was involved in a number of quality improvement initiatives, the most notable being support for the pediatric residency program’s Difficult Conversation in Medicine workshop. She lives in Austin, TX, with my four-year-old son and husband and is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and has dual degrees in business and nursing.
