Lead Facilitator and Curriculum Designer, RISE Program, Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health

Sam Chase designs and delivers programs in mindfulness, yoga and resilience for organizations nationwide, and specializes in working with communities that serve in high-stress circumstances.  He has shared mindfulness principles and practices with world leaders through a yoga and meditation program he developed for staff at the United Nations headquarters in New York; and also with the service men and women of the National Guard, where he created the yoga program for a pioneering resilience intervention led by researchers at Weill-Cornell Medical Center. He teaches mindfulness to physicians in training at Columbia Medical School, and created the Mindful Resilience program for nurses at Brooklyn Hospital Center serving on the frontlines of the COVID pandemic.

 

Sam earned his master’s degree at Harvard’s ART Institute, where he was the national recipient of the Jacob Javits Fellowship. He received certificates in Advanced Yoga Teaching and in Positive Psychology from Kripalu, where he currently serves as the Lead Facilitator and Curriculum Designer for the RISE program, an evidence-based resilience program for frontline service providers including Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the NYC Dept of Education.
